The Sixth and last Cup Final of the 2023/2024 season in the EC Surfacing Ltd Scunthorpe & District Football League On Monday saw Ashby Park Rangers beat The Butchers Arms 4 – 0 to win the EC Surfacing Ltd Challenge Cup Final Ashby got off to the best possible start any never really looked in danger of losing when Jack Porter scored after 3 minutes, Seb Glynn doubled their lead after 12 minutes to make it 2 – 0 The Butchers were struggling to lay a glove on Ashby and Max Weatherell made it 3 – 0 after 42 minutes to virtually kill the game off before half time, The Butchers did play better in the second half however they were unable to score and James Bruce added a fourth for Ashby after 69 minutes to secure the victory and give Ashby their first ever Challenge Cup Final win.
