New Ground: Watford LFC to play at Kings Langley

Home matches in the Spring Series to take place at Gaywood Park.

Watford Ladies FC is delighted to announce that our home games in the 2017 FA WSL 2 Spring Series will take place at Kings Langley FC.

It’s a move closer to Watford for the Golden Girls, with the Kings’ Gaywood Park ground located only six miles away from Vicarage Road.

“It’s a partnership that is exciting for both clubs,” said General Manager Ellie Kemp.

“We’re looking forward to working closely alongside Kings Langley over the coming weeks and months.

“It’s a Club that wants to put female football firmly on the local map and all the staff at Kings Langley FC have been pro-active so we’re excited to get the ball rolling.”

Kings Langley have enjoyed plenty of success in recent seasons, with the first team now playing in the Southern Premier Division after winning promotion in three consecutive campaigns.

Now there will also be WSL 2 football taking place at their Gaywood Park home.

“The whole of Kings Langley Football Club are extremely pleased with our new partnership with Watford Ladies,” said Acting Youth Chairman Phil Longuehaye.

“We are an ambitious club, with a passion to grow and firmly believe that this new exciting partnership will encourage more local girls to join our existing and future teams.”
