Hornets to Support Sudep Action
Charity announced for Arsenal cup game...
THE GOLDEN GIRLS will be supporting SUDEP Action at this Thursday's Conti-Cup match against Arsenal Women. Every home match this season has been dedicated to a different charity, and we are proud to be supporting another great cause.
The team will warm-up in SUDEP Action t-shirts, and there will be bucket collectors at the match - please give generously to what is a fantastic cause. We have already helped raise over £200 for charities so far this season, and your support and generosity can go a long way in making a difference.
SUDEP Action is dedicated to raising awareness of epilepsy risks and tackling epilepsy deaths, including Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP). They provide practical help to those working on the frontline of the NHS, people with epilepsy, and their families to help manage risk and save lives.
Their research fund aims to strive for answers to help save lives now and in the future. SUDEP specialise in supporting people bereaved by epilepsy immediately after a sudden death and in the years following, as they rebuild their lives.
Around 21,000 people with epilepsy have died suddenly and died young over the last 21 years.
SUDEP Action’s Prevent21 appeal shines a light on this shocking disaster bringing it out of the shadows and to the public’s attention. With a significant change of attitude, culture, and action towards epilepsy, many many lives can be saved.
