Match Preview: Watford v Sheffield FC
Golden Girls welcome the Reds to Kings Langley on Wednesday evening...
The Hornets face Sheffield FC this Wednesday evening (May 16) in what is their penultimate home game of this WSL 2 campaign.
Oxford United were the Golden Girls' last opponent, and the Golden Girls secured a much-earned three points. The side will be looking to build on their last performance at home against Brighton, where they were a penalty save away from securing a point against the second highest team in the division, in what was a narrow 1-0 defeat.
The Golden Girls have been playing their best football of the season of late, and have conceded only two goals in their past two fixtures. Armand Kavaja's young side are full of confidence and know that they will be able to match any side in the division at least for their performance level.
A look at the opposition
League position: 5th
SSE FA Women’s Cup: Fourth Round
Continental Tyres Cup: Third in Group One North
Last Five: WWWLD
The reds have been in fine form of late, picking up 13 points from their last six matches, which included a narrow-defeat to league champions Doncaster Rovers Belles.
Their last game saw them draw 0-0 with London Bees, and similar to the Hornets the Reds have had a congested period of fixtures of late.
Last time we met
Watford Ladies were defeated 4-0 away at Sheffield FC Ladies as the hosts won in convincing fashion.

Rhema Lord-Mears was on the scoresheet in the second half to make it four and it could have been more but for a great display from Fran Kitching.
